Fort Worth Animal Shelter Needs YOUR Help!! -
Hey Guys,
This isn’t math but if you’ve been a follower for a while you already know that I love helping animals too. :O
The Fort Worth animal shelter, MY local animal shelter, recently took in over 500 animals (which is WAY more than normal)! They’ve been very good in the past about not having to put healthy, adoptable animals down but now they have a HUGE over population. They are trying their best to get these animals adopted and fostered so they don’t have to start putting them to sleep.
They are running a half priced adoption special, which means $24.50 for dogs and $12.50 for cats. This includes shots, spay/neutering, and micro-chipping.
If you are in the area, PLEASE consider adopting or fostering. And if you’re not local, PLEASE consider donating and sharing!

My next race is coming up in 2 weeks! Every year I get stuck in major traffic coming home from work on the day that the Katy Trail 5K is going on because it goes right by my apartment. Well this year, to avoid this problem (and because I think it will be a lot of fun), I’m going to run it. I haven’t done a ton of running since the half marathon, but I’ve done a few miles here and there so I should be able to do it without too much of a problem.
When I was 12 and ran 5Ks with my family I think it took me around 30 minutes. This time around, my goal is going to be 35 minutes. Mostly I’m just doing it for fun though. There’s a big party after with food, beer and a live band which will be a nice reward.
Go here to register. It’s $40 for the race and admission to the party afterwards.
